Holiday Camp Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are the heart and soul of Tui Ridge Park Holiday Camps, helping us create a safe, fun, and memorable experience for every child. We run camps three times each year, with a week dedicated to teens and a week to juniors, offering opportunities for young people to grow, learn, and have fun in a supportive, Christ-centred environment.

We welcome volunteers in a variety of areas, including Medical PersonnelLeaders and Junior LeadersCamp Mum & DadChaplains, and Activity Leaders. Each role plays a vital part in the smooth running of camp: from mentoring and guiding campers, supporting their wellbeing, leading engaging activities, providing medical care, to offering spiritual guidance and pastoral support.

Volunteering at Tui Ridge is more than just helping out—it’s a chance to use your skills, develop new ones, and form meaningful relationships with campers, fellow volunteers, and staff. Whether or not you have experience working with children, healthcare, outdoor activities, or ministry, there’s a place for you to make a real difference with us. By joining our volunteer team, you’ll be part of a vibrant community dedicated to nurturing, inspiring, and caring for the next generation.

Leader/Junior Leader

Be a mentor, guide, and role model! Leaders and Junior Leaders spend time alongside campers, helping them feel included, confident, and ready to try new things. From encouraging teamwork to supervising kids, and modelling positive behaviour, you’ll help shape a fun and safe camp environment.

Chaplains

Share faith, hope, and encouragement! Chaplains lead devotionals, support campers in exploring spirituality, and provide a listening ear for guidance and encouragement. You’ll help create a welcoming space where campers can reflect, ask questions, and feel inspired.

Camp Mum/Dad

Bring warmth, care, and a nurturing presence to everyday camp life! Camp Mum and Dad help with routines, offer guidance and encouragement, and make sure campers and leaders/junior leaders feel valued, supported, and part of the camp family. Your presence everyone feel at home, even while they’re away from home.

Medical Personnel

Keep our campers and team safe and healthy! As part of our camp medical team, you’ll administer daily medication, provide first aid, monitor any health concerns, and respond to emergencies with confidence and care. Your support helps everyone enjoy camp knowing someone is always there to look after their wellbeing.

Activity Leader

Bring the fun and spark creativity! Activity Leaders help plan and run exciting, safe, and engaging activities that help campers learn new skills, build confidence, and have a blast. From games and crafts to outdoor adventures, you’ll make every moment at camp memorable.
